Depending on the country, job position, and school you apply to, there may be additional documentation you would need to provide, but your TEFL Adventure certification is fully accredited by OTTSA (Online TESOL and TEFL Standards Agency) and is valid worldwide proof that you have completed a recognized TEFL online course.
What is ACCREDITAT?
TEFL Adventure’s online TEFL / TESOL course is fully accredited by ACCREDITAT. ACCREDITAT is an independent, international accreditation body which sets rigorous Standards for the accreditation of TEFL Providers.

What’s the difference between TEFL and TESOL?
TEFL refers to Teaching English as a Foreign Language, whereas TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The two essentially mean the same thing: teaching English to non-native speakers.
Although there are some programs online that may try to claim one is better than the other, this is not true. The different acronyms do not change the meaning of a training program nor does it affect the value of a certificate.
What will affect the value of a certificate and how much you learn is the quality of the institution that offers it and how comprehensive the content of the program is.
I don’t have a college degree, can I teach with only a TEFL certificate?
You absolutely can.
Many overseas and online schools and programs don’t necessarily require teachers to have a college degree. They are more interested in hiring teachers who speak English at a native level and who have actually learned how to teach English as a foreign or secondary language. How do I receive my TEFL Adventure certificate?
Those who have successfully passed the TEFL Adventure program will be emailed their digital certificate that is proof that they have completed our courses.
The official TEFL Adventure digital proof of certification is usually adequate documentation for teachers to present to most schools and programs.
However, TEFL Adventure graduates may also wish to have a printed hard copy of their certification, which we also offer for a fee.
Printed copies include:
- A hard copy of your certification printed on high quality parchment paper
- Your name printed as proof of course completion
